Like most hobbies it is possible to spend a fair amount of money
getting the kit just as you would want it! Don't let this put you
off! The regimental seamstress will make you a basic set of breeches,
tunic and Montero (hat) for about £70 and as far as is possible
the regimental quartermaster and weapons masters will loan you
as much equipment as they can whilst you search out your own kit.
Pikes are regimental issue i.e. free of charge.
Kit is available from traders within the society, these traders
will have regular market stalls at Sealed Knot events and there
are many other sources of equipment on the web. Just ask, someone
will know where you can get virtually anything to do with this
period!
To give you an idea of how much this will cost see the illustrations
below. Be aware that we do not expect you to buy all this kit at
once. Most members take several years to accumulate this amount
of kit. Second hand gear is often available at greatly
reduced prices.
